So proud to present a project that Isabel & I did as Limes & Lemons just before the new year to wrap up 2016 and give thanks to the universe for the positivity and light that have gotten us, and everybody else, through darker days year after year. We took this as an opportunity to get together with our dearest friends over the course of the week leading up to Christmas to hang out, light up a couple sparklers, climb into restricted areas, share laughs and share stories. All too often, we take our time together for granted. More than anything, though a reminder to all, it was a great reminder to myself that it is this time we spend together, the people we choose to surround ourselves with, that guide the way for us through our trials and tribulations. We all have our own stories, our own problems and our own weaknesses, but often unknowingly it is through coming together and leaning on each other that we become stronger and it is in each other we find hope.
Many thanks to all the beautiful strangers who took part in the public engagement portion of our project - despite the alarmingly cold weather in Vancouver, it was incredibly heartwarming to see and experience so much love, passion and kindness on the streets. My biggest gratitude is to the friends who took time out of their days to come out and brave the cold, reflect and get raw and emotional with us. My heart is so full.
